On Tuesday, October 7, 2014, George Washington Carver School of Arts and Science students, parents, teachers, and their neighbors, staged silent protest picketing in front of 3443 Routier RD (Rancho Cordova) where the new business, Sacramento Gun Club, will be opening sometime soon.
Sacramento's local CBS TV station, KXTV, dispatched a news truck to interview those who participated, and broadcast the video on the evening news.
Rancho Cordova Students, Faculty Protest Proposed Gun Range 250 Feet From School

Students and faculty took to the streets to make their voices heard over a proposed gun range near a school.
Students from George Washington Carver High protested what is already on its way.

The protest is over the LOCATION of an indoor shooting range and gun store, moving into a vacant office building within 250 FEET of an existing high school; also an apartment complex, city park, senior citizens center, a community church, and single family homes.
